Purple Star Campus Designation – School Year (SY) 2022-2023
The Purple Star Campus Designation is a special honor created by the 86th Texas Legislature through Senate Bill (SB) 1557 that recognizes campuses of Texas school districts and open-enrollment charter schools that show their support and commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families.ÌýÌý
For the 2022-2023 school year, the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó (ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó) will award the Purple Star Campus Designation for campuses that apply and meet the established criteria.ÌýApplications will be accepted from Tuesday, April 5, 2022, through Wednesday, June 1, 2022.ÌýÌýFor more information on the application process, established criteria, and timelines please visitÌýÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó’s Purple Star Campus Designation. Schools that are selected will receive a virtual Purple Star recognition to display on campus or on the school website. Notifications of award outcomes will be announced by the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó in August 2022. All campuses receiving the designation will also be featured on theÌýÌýwebpage.ÌýÌý
Please note:ÌýDesignations last for two school years.Ìý
- Campuses that received the designation for the 2020-2021 school year need to submit a new application for 2022-2023. For the list of designees from 2020-2021, please visitÌýPurple Star Campus Designation Awardees.
- Campuses that received the designation for the 2021-2022 school year do not need to reapply until the spring of 2023. For the list of designees from 2021-2022, please visitÌýPurple Star Campus Designation Awardees.
