The Purple Star Campus Designation is a special honor created by the 86th Texas Legislature through SB 1557 that recognizes Texas districts and open-enrollment charter schools that show their support and commitment to meeting the unique needs of military-connected students and their families.Ìý

For the 2021-2022 school year, the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó (ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó) will award the Purple Star Campus Designation for campuses that apply and meet the established criteria. Applications will be accepted from Monday, April 5, 2021, through Tuesday, June 1, 2021. To apply, visit: ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó’s Purple Star Campus Designation.Ìý

Schools that are selected will receive a virtual Purple Star recognition to display on campus or on the school website. Notifications of award outcomes will be announced by the ÈËÆÞÓÕ»ó in August 2021. All campuses receiving the designation will also be featured on the webpage.Ìý

Please note: Designations last for two school years.Ìý

  • Campuses that received the designation for the 2020-2021 school year do not need to reapply until the spring of 2022. For the list of designees, please visit: Purple Star Campus Designation Awardees.Ìý
